Exploring Seattle

My husband and I recently got to visit Seattle over NYE weekend and see a lot of the beautiful sites the city has to offer. I wanted to share a few of my favorite spots with you in case you are looking to check it out. This trip was also extra special to us, reason being is that my husband's twin brother proposed to his girlfriend while snow shoeing on Mt. Rainier! The day was wonderful minus a few clouds blocking the mountain view, but overall it was great. As for our stay, we didn't stay at a hotel but got to stay with my future sister in law's parents' wonderful home which really helped in cutting costs.

Even though I didn't stay at a hotel, I do recommend Expedia Collections to pick your hotel stay since they rank on experience, are

Lets talk food! Everyone I spoke to told me to try the food at The Crab Pot, so of course we had to see what all the fuss was about! This is located in downtown Seattle on the pier. We ordered the recommended "Alaskan" meal which was made of up of various seafood that gets poured onto the table on butcher paper and we were given a bib and mallet to chow down. Needless to say we couldn't walk from how filling and delicious it was, definitely recommend it. Side note, the meal is for 2 people and the price you pay is $52 each, if you are doubting this decision definitely dive right in and enjoy!

Pike Place Market was sooo much fun! It was filled with vendors of sorts: fish (the world famous flying fish that is!), flowers, food, etc... Definitely could have spent hours there exploring. This is a stop you have to make, I still feel like I need another day of exploring it further.

As for the world famous fish part, they have what's called the Pike Place Fish Market. The Fish Market branded themselves as "world famous" do to their flying fish games and performances for customers. When a customer orders a fish the order gets shouted amongst the employees and then employees throw the fish behind the counter for purchase. They do have fun with customers walking by and genuinely seem happy to do what they do which makes the experience that much greater.

Near by you'll find the original Starbucks. The lines are extremely long, we went towards closing time when lines were shorter. It was fun to check out and bring home souvenirs to our loved ones back home.

The more adventurous part of our trip led us to Mount Rainier which was a 3 hour ride from were we were actually staying (Edmonds, WA). This is definitely a day trip but well worth it. The drive up the mountain was beautiful and picturesque. It was a great spot for snow shoeing, lots of gorgeous views throughout the trail. The trail we took was called nisqually vista loop which was located on the south side of the mountain, this led us to where we walked called paradise ridge. I recommend on your drive home to stop by the Mt. Rainier Railroad Dining Co. for lunch or dinner. It's an adorable train restaurant where the food was great and the hot chocolate even greater, especially after a cold day.

Our favorite stops on the trip were: Mt. Rainier (of course), Pike Place Market & dinner at The Crab Pot! I've added photos from other stops we made along the way.

I have attached links below for my outfit details!

My coat unfortunately was sold out but I linked similar styles. Also my burgundy kate spade mittens are sold out but kate spade has similar styles still available that I've linked.

My cole haan boots were amazing they weren't painful at all to walk in and we walked ALOT. I loved wearing my long champ bag to travel and to wear during this trip. It was convenient, stylish and easy to clean after all the exploring. I felt like it was a perfect Seattle trip bag.
